Time is certainly flying by, and it is already nearing that favourite time of the year again - Christmas (mainly just for the presents!). Once again, I was faced with the difficult task of designing my Christmas card to send across the area. After the success in past years, I knew that I had to call on the brilliant school children of South Thanet once again to help me in my time of need.

So, I invited local primary schools to submit their own designs for my Christmas card. The winner of the competition was to have their design on the front page of my card and the runners up on the back page. The schools that competed this time round were:

Bromstone primary School | Christ Church CoE Junior School | Dame Janet Primary Academy | Newington Community Primary School | St Joseph's Catholic Primary School | Worth Primary School

The children of South Thanet never fail to impress in their talent as artists, and as usual I knew that I had a difficult choice to make in choosing the winner. Without further ado, I am pleased to announce that the winner of my 2018 Christmas card competition is Valerie from Year 6 at Bromstone Primary School! I quite liked her drawing of robins against a wintry backdrop:

With so many brilliant designs, I had to pick some runner-ups to for the competition. I particularly liked (pictures below):

Abigayle’s Christmas tree (Dame Janet) | Ruby Godden’s reindeer (Newington) | Sonny Haywood’s snowman (St Joseph's) | Malgorzata Szczesna’s christmas home (Dame Janet) | Iris Walters’ penguin (Christ Church CoE)

Thank you once again for everyone who took the time to enter. Look out for your Christmas Card below:
